pre-written meal plans

For the person who loves cooking, but not the planning. Red Fennel kitchen meal plans are designed to take care of the mental load of finding recipes, making a grocery list, and figuring out what to tackle first in the chef-curated menu. All you need to do is the shopping and cooking! Filter through the available meal plans by dietary restriction or allergy so you know the plan is aligned with your nutrition goals and needs.

Each meal plan includes:

-A pre-selected menu of at least 3 meals, each designed to yield 4 portions

-A step-by-step guide for how to prep all of the meals at once or how to make weeknight cooking easier *see the note below on prep versus plan!

-Grocery list for the menu, including substitutions

-'What's left over?' ways to use any ingredients that may not be fully used up in the meal plan (typically less than 6 ingredients, not including pantry staples)

-Reheat instructions

-Freezing instructions - what is freezer friendly, how long it will keep, and how to safely defrost

-Individual recipes for each meal

types of meal plans available

The meals are packed with beans, legumes, lentils, and other alternate protein sources to support a healthy diet and your lifestyle.

Trader Joe’s-friendly

These plans are written using Trader Joe’s brand ingredients to make meal prep even easier!

General Meal Prep

These meal plans include traditional protein sources, such as chicken or fish, with fun flavors and recipes to mix up the routine!

Meal plans labeled as Meal Plans, on the other hand, are designed to do a little prep at the beginning of the week but still cook for fresh meals each night. With Meal Plan plans, each meal is made easier by prepping marinades and sauces, precutting proteins, and sometimes preparing sides ahead of time. My goal with the Meal Plans is that you only have to turn on one appliance to finish the meal in as little time as possible. Meal plans are best suited for clients who have the time and desire to cook each evening.

‘prep’ versus ‘plan’

what do these labels mean?

Meal plans labeled as Meal Prep indicate that all of the cooking is designed to take place at one time. After a few hours of cooking, all of the meals are fully prepared and ready to be eaten throughout the week. The steps in the Meal Prep plans will be done to efficiently tackle the meals, so you will be cooking multiple meals at once, and different elements of each dish will finish at different times. Meal prep is best for clients who are looking for variety in their preexisting meal prep approach or clients who are interested in exploring this approach to cooking because they don’t have time to cook throughout the week.
